laser pigmentation removal

Primelase state‑of‑the‑art laser treatments are clinically proven to target & reduce unwanted pigmentation with minimal downtime.

Primelase selectively targets melanin-rich areas, breaking down pigmentation gently and safely. Perfect for treating hyperpigmentation, brown spots, facial discolouration, freckles or sun damage on your skin, for a clearer, more even skin tone.

The technology uses wavelengths of light that are absorbed by melanin (pigment).
When melanin absorbs light, it converts it into heat which breaks down the pigmented cells or deposits. After treatment, the body’s healing process clears up the damaged pigment, leading to lightening of the area. The cooling mechanism helps protect the epidermis (outer skin) so there is less risk of overheating, burns, or unwanted pigment changes.

what to expect & aftercare

Consultation: Assessment of skin type, pigmentation, medical history, photos, maybe test patch.

Pre‑treatment prep: Avoid tanning / sun exposure beforehand, stop some skin irritants (like strong acids or retinoids) if recommended.

During treatment: Cooling applied, laser pulses delivered. May feel warm, snapping or prickling sensation. The pigmented spots might darken temporarily.

Post treatment: Treated spots often darken then lighten. Redness, mild swelling possible, maybe some crusting in more superficial cases. Must avoid sun exposure and use high‑SPF broad spectrum sunscreen. Gentle skincare; avoid harsh scrubs / irritants until fully healed.

Follow‑ups / additional treatments: Are usually spaced out (several weeks apart) to allow healing and pigment clearance.

limitations & considerations

Even though Primelase Excellence is advanced, there are important things to keep in mind:

Not all pigmentation responds equally well — deeper pigment, or pigment in layers of the skin beyond the epidermis or superficial dermis, may be harder to remove, require multiple sessions, or additional treatments (topicals, peels, etc.).

Skin type matters — while it is designed for all phototypes, darker skin has more melanin, so there is higher risk of post‑inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) or hypopigmentation if settings / cooling are not optimal.

Sun exposure before/after treatment is a big factor: exposure increases risk; also pigment may reactivate. Proper consultation / assessment is essential: determining the kind of pigmented lesion, checking for any suspicious lesions, choosing the correct wavelength and settings.

Side effects can include transient redness, swelling, darkening of the spot before lightening, possibly mild scabbing if the lesion is superficial, and in rare cases, pigment changes.

Number of sessions: often more than one session is needed for full clearance, depending on size, depth and type of pigment.

pigmentation we can treat

Solar / senile lentigines (sun spots / age spots) — common, superficial brown pigmentation from sun exposure or aging.

Freckles and similar superficial pigment marks.

Other benign pigmented lesions
(not malignant or suspicious) - always screened beforehand.

It may be less effective (or require more sessions / combined approaches) for deeper pigmentation (such as dermal pigmentation, certain types of melasma) or pigment caused by certain medical conditions.
