EMFACE Has Arrived: Welcome to the New Era of Aesthetics

The new era of aesthetics is REGENERATION.

At Charlene Baker PMU & Aesthetics, this is something I truly believe in.

Of course, we all love a little tweak here and there, whether that's enhancing the lips, defining the brows or giving the skin a little extra glow. But as our understanding of ageing evolves, I believe aesthetics is becoming much more about restoring, supporting and regenerating what we already have, rather than simply adding more.

And that is exactly why I am so excited to introduce BTL EMFACE® to the clinic.

Why EMFace feels so right for my approach to aesthetics

One of the things I love most about natural-looking enhancement is that it starts with structure.

Before we think about adding volume, we need to consider the foundations of the face.

As we age — and particularly following significant weight loss — the face can change considerably. We can lose volume, skin elasticity and definition, while the underlying facial muscles can also become less prominent.

This can leave the face looking more tired, hollow or less supported.

And if you've experienced significant weight loss while taking a GLP-1 medication, you may have noticed these changes particularly clearly.

You may have achieved an incredible transformation with your body, only to look in the mirror and think:

“Why does my face suddenly look older?”

This is where I think the conversation needs to move beyond simply replacing volume.

Restore the foundations first

We all know that a beautiful result isn't necessarily about doing more.

Sometimes, it's about restoring what's been lost and supporting what's already there.

Think of the face as a structure.

When the underlying framework is supported, everything else you do — from your skincare routine to your injectable treatments and other aesthetic procedures — can sit on a much stronger foundation.

That's why EMFACE fits so beautifully into my philosophy.

It isn't simply about treating a wrinkle or adding volume.

It's about working with the skin and facial muscles together.

So, what is EMFace?

EMFACE is an advanced, non-invasive facial treatment from BTL that combines synchronised radiofrequency (RF)with HIFES® — High-Intensity Facial Electrical Stimulation.

The RF component works within the skin to support collagen and elastin production, while HIFES® stimulates the facial muscles through controlled contractions.

So rather than focusing solely on the surface, EMFACE takes a more comprehensive approach to facial rejuvenation.

Skin. Muscle. Structure.

And that's what makes it so exciting.

A particularly interesting treatment after weight loss

Facial changes following weight loss can be complex.

When we lose facial fat, we can see reduced fullness through the cheeks, temples and around the eyes, alongside changes in definition and skin laxity.

This can be particularly noticeable following substantial or rapid weight loss, including weight loss associated with GLP-1 medications.

But it's important to recognise that EMFACE doesn't replace lost facial fat.

Instead, its role is different — helping to address the appearance of facial muscle tone, skin quality, firmness and definition.

For the right client, that makes it a fascinating treatment to consider as part of a broader facial rejuvenation plan.

The new era isn't about adding more

I genuinely believe we're entering a new era of aesthetics.

An era where regeneration, preservation and restoration are becoming just as important as enhancement.

It's not about saying no to fillers, toxin, skin treatments or any other aesthetic procedure.

It's about understanding when each treatment has a role.

Sometimes a little enhancement is exactly what you need.

Sometimes the skin needs attention.

And sometimes, before we do anything else, we need to look at the foundations.

Structure first. Enhancement second.

That philosophy sits at the heart of what I love about natural aesthetics.

Why EMFace stands out

What makes EMFACE particularly exciting to me is its ability to combine two technologies in one treatment.

Facial muscle stimulation

HIFES® technology is designed to stimulate the facial muscles, creating thousands of controlled contractions during treatment.

Skin rejuvenation

Radiofrequency energy heats the skin, supporting processes associated with collagen and elastin production.

Non-invasive treatment

There are no needles involved and no surgical intervention.

Minimal disruption

A treatment takes approximately 20 minutes, with no required downtime, making it easy to incorporate into a busy lifestyle.

A natural-looking approach

The goal isn't to make you look “done”.

It's about supporting your own facial structure and encouraging a fresher, more lifted and defined appearance.

And this is where it gets really interesting…

Imagine your facial aesthetic plan as a house.

Your skincare is maintaining the exterior.

Your injectables may enhance certain features.

Your skin treatments can improve the surface.

But the structure is the foundation.

And if we can support that foundation, everything else you do — whether in the clinic or at home — can work alongside it beautifully.

That is why I'm so excited about bringing EMFACE into the clinic.

It doesn't compete with my love of natural enhancement.

It complements it.

The future of aesthetics is working with your face — not against it

At our Clinic, I want every treatment to have a purpose.

I don't believe in chasing trends or changing faces for the sake of it.

I believe in looking at your individual anatomy, your skin, your ageing process, your lifestyle and your goals and deciding what will genuinely benefit you.

Sometimes that's a tiny tweak.

Sometimes it's a skin treatment.

Sometimes it's restoration.

And now, with EMFACE, we have another incredibly exciting tool to help support the face from a different angle.

The new era of aesthetics isn't necessarily about adding more.

It's about regenerating, restoring and protecting what makes your face yours.

And I absolutely love that.

EMFace is now available at Charlene Baker PMU & Aesthetics

If you've experienced facial volume loss following weight loss, you're noticing changes associated with ageing, or you simply want to explore a more regenerative approach to facial rejuvenation, we would love to talk to you about whether EMFACE could be right for you.

Your face doesn't always need more. Sometimes, it needs more support.

Treatment suitability varies from person to person. EMFACE is not suitable for everyone and a consultation is required before treatment. Individual results vary.
