What preparation is required prior to treatment?
Active Skin Peels will require skin preparation prior to treatment to prepare your skin for your peel to achieve better penetration and to avoid any adverse reactions. We recommend prepping your skin for 2-4 weeks prior to superficial skin peels but that be longer when having deeper peels. It will also depend on skin condition being treated. To prepare your skin we recommend using a Glycolic or Salicylic cleanser once a day for 2-4 weeks prior to your first skin peel. You will also require a gentle cleanser, moisturiser and broad-spectrum sunscreen as part of your aftercare. Your pre and post treatment program will be discussed in detail at your consultation.

What to expect
The full procedure can take approximately 30 minutes You may experience a warm/tingling sensation when the peel solution is initially applied which will subside within a few minutes.Glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that deeply penetrates the skin while stimulating the production of new collagen. It chemically exfoliates the skin, removing dead skin cells from the outmost layer to reveal healthier and more evenly toned skin beneath.

Results can be seen immediately, but it takes 4 weeks to appreciate the full results.
For best results possible, most people need 4 separate treatments 2-4 weeks apart - however some people will need only one treatment.
